ABOUT THE GAME
Charge is a 360° puzzle made to be played on an Oculus Rift, where the player rotates nodes to complete a circuit. The upbeat music and visual effects of the environment reflect upon the players progression as a reward, increasing in intensity as it leads into the finale.
ABOUT MY ROLE
This was the first project where was the Lead Game Designer. This was a particularly challenging project for me as I had previously never been in a leading role. I laid the programming foundations of the puzzle mechanics, and worked alongside our programmer through the final stages of development. This again was quite challenging as I had very little programming experience before starting this project. While designing the mechanics and the puzzle itself, I was in close communication with our 3D artist (not me this time) to build modular assets to be placed along the walls of a spherical level.
