By taking screenshots from various angles of this robot in Bethesda's Fallout 4 (2015), I was able to recreate it fairly accurately. I wanted to make it look brand new, instead of being dirty and rusted as it is shown in the game. Doing it this way reduced the need for texture maps, with only a single texture file used for the eye shutter. The rest of the model used plain colours with the other channel settings adjusted within Sketchfab.com. The main reason I chose to model this was to practice using round objects, such as spheres and cylinders. Face / vertex normals started to become an issue towards the end of this project, and researching different techniques after a trial-and-error approach quickly resolved them.
